What do all those acronyms mean?
Confused by the acronyms for speech and debate events? The list below explains
acronyms for several events (East students may not actually participate in all of them).

BE = Boys Extemporaneous
GE = Girls Extemporaneous
FX/IX = Foreign/International Extemp
USX = Domestic Extemp

OO = Original Oratory
HI = Humorous Interpretation
DI = Dramatic Interpretation
DUO = Dramatic Duo

POE = Poetry Reading
PRO = Prose Reading
EXPOS = Expository
EC = Extemporaneous Commentary
LD = Lincoln Douglas Debate
CX = Policy Debate
PF = Public Forum Debate
CON = Congress Debate
