A Proud Tradition
Lincoln East Forensics has enjoyed
spectacular success during the past thirty
years. 2008 marked the seventh year in a
row that East was named Class A State
Speech Champ. Since 1976, East has won
25 Nebraska State Speech Championships,
and has been the State Runner-up 7 times.
In Debate, East has had 4 state NIT champs
in the 8 years of NIT tournaments, and was
State Debate Champ in 2007.
On a national level, a steadily growing
number of Spartans have qualified for the
National Forensic League (NFL)
tournament. For 2008, we had 15 qualifiers.
When you join East Forensics, you have the
opportunity to contribute to that proud
tradition. Through your participation, you
can improve your analytical and speaking
skills, increase your level of self confidence,
gain a greater understanding of literature
and current events, and build your
leadership skills. As part of the East
Forensics team, you'll meet new people,
have a chance to travel, engage in personal
growth, and have lots of fun in the process.
